Old player playing the wrong files

So I had a windows PC that I had been using about 6 months ago. It has software on it that I wanted to use again so I put this pc back in place to use as my media player. I updated windows and plex. It connects fine and I can browse as normal. But when ever I play a movie it will play the wrong movie. I can put my other player back in place and it works just fine. I’ve uninstalled plex media player and reinstalled it but same results. I don’t think it’s on the server side because every other client I have works just fine. What is it that isn’t getting removed when I uninstall that could be holding bad meta data maybe?

Are you sure that what you are seeing is not a movie trailer? Automatic trailers could be enabled in this client. Try disabling trailers.

Make sure the “old” player is using the same plex account as the other, “new” player.

Rookie mistake. Yep I had it set to play 1 trailer. I guess what threw me off is the same movies was trying to play the same thing every time and I thought that was more randome. I guess I have it set to pull only from my library so also threw me because they were movies I had. Case closed though! Thanks!
