On a new network/router, how can I transfer plex server over without creating a new one?

Looking at your account,

  1. I see you had a Plex server on windows 10.
    – You can take those server files (if you still have them) and move them to the Synology
    – I’ve created a procedure. It has a lot of steps. If you make any mistakes along the way… we’ll just back up, fix it, and keep going :wink:

  2. I see you have the server installed on DSM 7 (DS420+)

  3. Since it’s not understanding / finding the server for you, I have a procedure for you to do which will reclaim (attach) the server to your account.

This procedure will help you claim it.

The important part is that , when it’s done installing, confirms the server is claimed to your username (it will show on the installation final message when done)
