On Android mobile devices, when invoking the external player MX Player, it is possible to stream ASS subtitles to MX Player simultaneously. This is a feature of MX Player, and there is official documentation available that provides the implementation method.
i know unofficial emby clients on android have done this and hope plex can support this either.
