On Deck, Continue Watching & Recently Added

OH GOSH !!!

I am late to this party!

So in December I finally decide to bend the knee, and got a 2019 Shield Pro… Why did you do that??.. I hear you ask…

Well, Plex were adamant that if I wanted 4K / HDR / Dolby Vision and all the HD audio support, it would have to be!

Really painful considering PMP on my HTPC is darn near perfect!

Then some weeks ago there’s a new update, I get a ton of additional “Recently Added” lines on my homepage, and I’m like… Whaaat???

So I figure out what’s going on, and delete most of them without truly realizing what was actually going on…

And now tonight I suddenly realize there are several movies that are not appearing in the “Recently Added”…

I flip over to the Sony X950H’s Android TV version… Same…

I flip back to PMP, and of course, because that hasn’t been touched in some months, the “Recently Added” still behaves as expected…

So now I’m reading through an ENORMOUS topic, to find out that apparently this was intentional???

Like, REALLY?

So my choices currently are… Set the homepage to Auto and live with that mess, or try and manage my homepage myself which is supposed to be “endlessly configurable” and I cannot get it to behave how it was!

Which takes me back to my first statement…

OH GOSH !!!

Now as if this wasn’t bad enough…

I was recently really pleased to find out that PMP4 is finally once again in the oven…

But now I’m actually rather worried about that… Because if they are going to introduce this iteration of “Recently Added” to the long awaited PMP4…

Well…

I return back to by original statement…

OH GOSH !!!

EDIT: And forgot my use case…

2x TV libraries - 1 for adults, one for kids.
2x Movie libraries - 1 for adults, one for kids.

Don’t really want 4x Recently added on my homepage… Kinda pointless, when the “one for all” worked just fine.

So, as others have pointed suggested, kinda needs a toggle to enable / disable this new behaviour, or at the very least, rethink it…

Not happy!
