First and foremost, I <3 plex. It is the app for my life and computers that I would not give up for anything other than world peace
I am not a fan of On Deck. In fact, what I am not a fan of really is the damn autoplay. Here is what I mean . . .
I watch a show and it finishes, then on deck kicks in and starts autoplaying the next one. Personally, I hate that. If I want to play the next show, I will tell Plex to play the next show.
So is there a way to either turn that feature off or if not, is there a way to turn off On Deck?
Thanks,
dave
You can turn off autoplay in every client I know of. It is in the settings of the client. Since you did not say which client you are using I cannot tell you exactly how to do it.
BTW: It has nothing to do with “On Deck” it is feature forced on us by Plex. It should default to off but Plex was too stupid to realize that. Intrusive features should always default to the least invasive behavior and not require that users take measures to avoid the intrusion into the viewing experience.
Plex does not realize this and they can do no wrong. We should be thankful that they gave us the ability to turn off things.
The “Post Play” screen, which is what you are actually complaining about, is part of Plex’s vision and cannot be avoided. But, as I said, the autoplay feature can be disabled.
Argh, it is per client instead of server based. I have about 15 different clients and would love to set this up server side.
Thanks for the answer
