It played like a champ for the first 2 days down in Cancun. Now nothing once again there has got to be something more dependable than this. Because the only option I have down here is Spanish speaking channels. Yippee not helping me on to Netflix and look for something I haven’t watched or a boring show. Yippee I can get into the drive through TerraMaster NAS Mobile and see the files and everything So once again PLEX has taken a crap. why!!! This is getting old. I need something more dependable than this.
yeah, probably not plex’s fault. Ive been running plex for years and its fairly stable. Are you able to remotely reboot the NAS? is the NAS on a static/reserved IP address?
Just like your previous thread, Okay this thing has being a piece of CRAP! Im betting its a network issue on your end.
Ok help me then. I’m in Cancun my MB speed down here is 3.50MBPS which I know sucks majorly compare to the 200MBPS back home. I have looked for a remote reboot for both PLEX and or TerraMaster can’t find either. I know the hotels is not locking the IP address because it worked great the last 2 days. So does anyone have suggestions to look at to fix this crap. That last thing I can do it send the Sister In Law over to the house and reboot everything.
I always have a device connected using something like The Fast Remote Desktop Application – AnyDesk which enables me to log in to a PC at home and access/troubleshoot the network. Having the ability to RDP into your network and troubleshoot these issues is critical. Plex was not designed to be troubleshot remotely.
Well that leaves that out of the question once again I guess it will wait until I get home. No the Plex server runs by itself I don’t have any computers attached to it. It’s attached to an 8 port router I don’t leave any computers on I very seldom turn on a computer anymore. I just want something more dependable than Plex. So far not impressed with it. Another interesting thing happen the other day we lost the internet so no problem I’ll just watch Plex on Apple TV it would not connect but my iPad would their on the same Wi-Fi network I couldn’t figure that one out either.
Who said plex was at fault here? Im betting something in your overall network configuration needs fixed and you are blaming plex.
Once I get home and I’ll go from there again. So stay turned. I’ll be back with you in a couple of day. Please don’t go away. I want to make it fool proof one way or another.
K home this morning so rebooted the router just for giggles. Nothing. I could see and access the drive so network still up. I could do it from Cancun to. So login to TerraMaster own TNAS program on my laptop and Plex was hung on what I don’t know I don’t know if you know about the TerraMaster TNAS program but as soon as I enter Plex it said configuring. WHAT! I didn’t install anything or change anything. It went from configuring to Ready and everything back to normal I have all the logs if you want me to send Plex went down on the 29th back up on the 1st. I can’t make head or tails of it maybe a tech Plex tech can. If someone could tell what the difference from TerraMaster TNAS program and the TNAS App I sure would like to know because the program you can install, delete and change setting on all the apps. The TNAS App is a basic drive access that’s it nothing else. If I could do the samething thing that I do on my laptop through the app I would have been able to get it back up and running in Cancun.
