This is a windows Plex installation. I have a single file the server seems to ignore. This is about the newer Battlestar Galactica Series. The series ran from 2004- 2009. These show up fine. There was a precursor to the series in the form of a single episode that will not show up no matter what i do.
I have tried rescanning library files, taking the file out off the server and placing it back on, renaming it to something else. Simply will not show.
Thanks for the link. It helps. I have tried naming it many things. I think part of the problem is that I have only one file for a two part miniseries. I will go back to the original disk(s) and see if missed something.
I can say sticking it with the rest of the series under a Season 00 did not work for me. Let me try the disks and name everything to match TVDB and I will let you know.
The naming would be of the form (if this is indeed the one you are talking about): TV/Battlestar Galactica (2003)/Season 00/Battlestar Galactica (2003) - s00e01e02 - Battlestar Galactica: The Miniseries.mkv
That did it! After looking at it again I can’t believe I was so dumb. I knew it was a TV show, but formatted the file like it was a movie. Plex totally ignored it. Thanks for showing my mistake.

You can drop the e02 part of the filename. All it really does is produce two entries in Plex that point to the same file. Plex will play the entire file from start to end no matter which is chosen and will not mark the other as watched.
Thanks for the tip. I found in my case that although this was a two part miniseries when broadcast on TV, the DVD version was a single video of the two parts merged together.
