Over the past month I’m having ongoing issues with Plex Server on my Mac mini.
This ranges from the server crashing, server taking what can only be called long pauses - where certain dashboard rows actually disappear from my player (Roku/AppleTV/Web).
Extremely often now, when watching TV or Movie on my Roku on the same network as the server I get the “Playback Error” message “Please check that this file exists and the necessary drive is mounted”. If I go to a web browser to see the Plex Server Settings I get the error “Server settings are unavailable.” After waiting 5 mins it all comes back to life.
I’ve enabled debug logging, so after a day I’ll repost here. Wanted to know if anyone else experiencing similar.
Server Version#: Version 1.32.8.7639
Player Version#: Version 4.119.2 (Also latest Roku and Apple TV)
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>
Update on this issue, I did a complete optimisation of the db and emptied all trash, and this appears to have resolved the issue I think. Will respond here if issue resurfaces over the coming week.
Very common issue I keep bumping into is that my Continue Watching section is just not displayed at times. It’s very random but happens on Roku more often than anything else.
Crashing again today, restart of Mac and Plex and I get the media not available when I try and play files I know are there and accessible.
Also having crashing issues. Didn’t start with this release, but the release before. The release before it would crash EVERY night when I was sleeping. This release is a lot better where it might crash once every few days. Prior to this, Plex would never crash. Might look into installing my old version on here or write a script to auto restart Plex.
