Unfortunately, not all files / films are found or read correctly.
According to the terminal command (find . -maxdepth 99 -type f -size +100M -exec du -h {} + | sort -rh) I have 348 files in the directory.
Unfortunately, Plex only shows me 306.
For example, I have 8 films in a subfolder, but only 4 of them are displayed.
If I add this subfolder as a separate media library folder to Plex, all 8 films are found correctly.
Is there a way to see which files were not included and why?
If you use collection folders, you must adhere more closely to the recommended naming.
Add at least the release year in parentheses, as explained in the naming guides.
And you need to investigate the special character issue. Most likely this has to do with a code page setting. If Plex sees such a mangled file name, it can throw off the scanner so much that it won’t find a good match of the title.
