I’m not sure if this has been answered before (the ones I found are only for apple products). Basically there was an update the other week there and since then I haven’t been able to watch movies that have the audio as AAC 5.1 as I only hear the background noise. Every other type works. And the files worked before the update. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t have a firestick to test with, but all reports indicate that AAC sound with more than 2 channels is a problem on the Firestick.
Experiment with the Direct Play / Direct Stream preferences.
You basically want to force Plex to transcode the 5.1 AAC sound to stereo
Thanks Otto. It worked before. Then there was an update. brand new UI and this bug lol. How to I force it ?
As I said, I for one can’t tell you as I don’t use the Firestick.
