I recently updated to 1.4.2 and an now having an issue with audio on my fire TV. I have Dolby turned off in audio settings since it makes the audio stutter. It was transcoding the audio to PCM aac 6ch surround just fine, but when I updated it now transcodes everything to 2ch stereo for some reason. These are all mkv files, mostly with DTS audio tracks. Anyone else notice this? Or have any idea how to get it to go back to transcoding to PCM?
I have a similar problem. Since approx. 2 weeks I realised that the audio stutters while watching any movie with 5.1 sound. It does not matter if it is in SD or 720p or 1080p. The only way to stop this is deactivating Dolby at the Fire TV settings but this causes in 2ch stereo sound. I tried the same with amazon prime video and netflix. Both are working perfectly fine even with Dolby and 4k.
Is there anyone with a solution? Or will there be an update for the plex app on Fire TV soon which fixes the problem?
