Only some player apps can access Plex Media Server

Server running on an Intel Mac Mini, server version 1.40.1.8227

There were two simultaneous changes to my system and I’m not sure which one may have broken the connection to my media server. I did a server update, and later that day I changed ISPs and was provided with a new modem and router by the new ISP. Now, only some Plex player apps can connect to my PMS. Below is a list of player apps I’ve used in the past that now cannot connect:

Playstation 5 - cannot connect (on wired local network)
Plex Web - cannot connect (wired local network and wifi, any browser, on both macOS and Windows)
iOS (iPhone and iPad apps) - CAN connect to server and play media
Plex Web from a remote network - CAN connect and play media

Why will some apps connect to my media server and some won’t? Remote Access seems to be set up and working properly as I can access my server through a web browser while away from home, but why can’t a web browser connect to the server while at home and on the same local network as the server?

Things I’ve looked into:

  • Server is signed into and “Claimed”
  • Secure connections (server is set to Preferred not Required)
  • DNS Rebinding Protection (ISP does not use this service, problem persists whether using ISP supplied router/AP or my personal 3rd party router/AP)

Is there some simple setting that I’m just totally missing, or is there something deeper going on here? Any advice on what to look into would be much appreciated!
