Opening Screen

Hello,

Still busy discovering all the benefits of Plex. I installed the Plex Server on my Synology NAS and it looks as everything is working fine. The additional information Plex One is offering for my film collection is amazing! One small thing I would like to change is the opening screen of both the Plex App (in my case: Android and Android TV) and the Plex Media Player (Windows).

No matter what I try, it is always the Home Screen that pops up first and this always just shows “Recently Added in Movies”. Instead, I would very much like to see my Movies Library when starting the App or the Media Player. I have searched the setting options but could not find anything. The “customized home screen” option does not give my Library as an option to include. Is there a solution for this (minor) problem?

You cannot change the launch screen apps open to, it will always be the home screen

On Android TV apps are generally really backgrounded by the OS so it will often open to whatever the last screen you were on but that is an OS level thing.

Why will it always be the home screen? I don’t use the home screen. My primary use case is TV Shows. I just want to start in the TV Shows Library on my Android TV interface. The biggest complaint I receive from my family is that they have to start in the Home where it shows things they don’t want, then have to navigate to what they do want… let us start with what we use most.

We would really prefer the choice. We’ve been using Plex for a long time and it’s our only issue.
