Home screen when Plex/Windows app first launches

Server Version#: 1.40.3.8555
Player Version#: 1.97.2.190-ca5000d0

When I launch Plex simply to listen to music at work, it launches with the home screen showing Plex’s recommendations including nice big colorful rated R / NSFW online movie posters. How do I change it to ONLY show MY library content on the Home screen at startup?

I just launched it again, and same thing; this time I was alone so not as worried about people seeing it so didn’t immediately click on my Music library to change the screen; and noticed after a few seconds it actually changed on its own from Plex’s online recommendations to my own Home screen, which is what I want–as if it needed a few seconds to load content from my Plex server, but displayed Plex’s defaults in the meantime.

Why does it do this, and how do I turn it off? I simply want to listen to my music, and not worry about what people might see and think I’m doing on my work computer while walking by.

I don’t mind having the “Movies & Shows On Plex” category available for when I’m at home and want to find something to watch, but it shouldn’t pop up as the default every time I launch the player.

You can edit your home page on every client device independently.
First, disable the synchronization of the rest of your Plex apps with the work computer, by going to
Settings - ‘Show Advanced’ - Plex for Windows - “Turn Off Settings Sync”
Then un-pin the “Movies&TV” source from the sidebar.

Why not using Plexamp for that? It specializes in Music and doesn’t show all the other libraries at all. Due to its support for loudness levelling, it also keeps the volume constant even with mixed playlists.

That is brilliant, thank you! That is exactly what I needed. Had no idea it would be that simple.
Thanks for such a quick response!
