[OpenPHT 1.8.0] Multi-part movie fails to play second part

Is there a known issue with OpenPHT supporting movies that split across multiple files?

I’m running OpenPHT 1.8 embedded on an ODROID C2. I have a 2 part movie, named according to the naming conventions such that it shows up as a single movie in the UI (and also in Plex Web). When I attempt to watch the movie on OpenPHT, it plays back the first part fine but then fails to proceed to part two and shows a generic “unable to play media” message in the bottom corner. A similar question was asked in the release thread for OpenPHT v1.7.1 here, but it wasn’t responded to that I can see.

PMS is v1.5.2, running on a Synology DS412+. The connection between PMS and OpenPHT is wired ethernet.

Repro steps would simply be to playback a multi-part movie, and observe the failure when OpenPHT attempts to move from part one to part two.

Out of interest, I checked whether part two plays correctly in Plex Web, which it does. I also tried advancing playback into part two via Plex Web, stopping, and then attempting to resume at the later point in OpenPHT. Doing so I just get the same error.

I’m happy to provide log files, if you can let me know which logs would be helpful!

yes, there is a known issue with stacked files on some OS’s / embedded

Thanks @“daniel.cull”. Is this documented/tracked anywhere? E.g. if there’s an issue logged, I’d be interested to follow it for updates.

In the meantime, are there any available workarounds? Or will I have to rename them so that they appear as two separate entries in my library?

add your details to the issue

Split them | join the files | wait until its fixed is really the only option on your hardware currently.

Thanks, I’ve added my info to the github issue!
