OpenPHT embedded on AMD hardware

Hi all,

Wanting to try out an OpenPHT embedded install for the first time with some spare hardware I have, but wanted to doublecheck compatibility before I jump in. I have an AMD AM1 mini-ITX board with a Sempron 3850 processor. Seems like most of the embedded installs are running on either a Raspberry set up or an Intel NUC type of box. I’m guessing the AMD harware should work with the x86-64 install since (I think) the underlying LibreElec code is compatible from a generic x86 standpoint(?).

Obviously the easiest thing would just be to give it a shot, but figured I’d check first in case I ended up trying to troubleshoot hardware that was incompatible in the first place.

If it does work, the embedded graphics on the ITX board is a Radeon HD8280 chip. I have an older nVidia GTX750 that I think will fit in the case I have. would that make a difference in performance or compatibility?

Have been a huge fan of Plex for a couple of years now and am looking forward to tying out some more ‘advanced’ types of set-ups.

Thanks!

Use the generic version of the embedded X86-64 and it should work fine. I have it running on older AMD LLANO, Richland and Brazos based systems and it works great.
