Opensubtitle addon clarification regarding server release 1.40.0.7998?

In the release notes for Server release 1.40.0.7998, it states the following:

  • (Agents) Remove the legacy OpenSubtitles agent which is no longer supported upstream (#14667)

Does the word legacy here mean that there is a new “non-legacy” OpenSubtitle agent available? Or does it mean that support for OpenSubtitle has been removed completely? I am still on the 1.3x release and Opensubtitle works for me today and I really don’t want to loose this feature.

The non-legacy Opensubtitle support is when you select “Search…” in the subtitle selector on any particular movie or episode.

Ok, this is how it works for me today so maybe I am already using the “non-legacy” agent then? So I take it as there will still be support for Opensubtiles within Plex even from 1.4x going forward, and will I still be able to use my Opensubtitle account information?

Correct.

There is no need for that. That was only used for the legacy plugin.
