Opensubtitles recent hack

Hello,

Opensubtitles announces a data leak that happened in the last 5 months. (https://forum.opensubtitles.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17685)

Is there any concern to have regarding the embedded feature to download subtitles? I’d like to know if I have to communicate anything to the Plex users I’m currently sharing libraries with. I don’t know how Plex uses their API to download subs, so I don’t know what’s used in PUT and POST (user email, tokens, etc.). Also I’m talking about the embedded feature not plugin-agent for legacies Plex Movie/TV agents

I am told, no matter whether you use the new “Search subtitle” or the old opensubtitles.org Plug-in, no data which can be used to identify you are transmitted to opensubtitles.org.
All calls are routed through systems/proxies of plex.tv

Unfortunately I cannot tell you what happens when you use 3rd-party agents, like SubZero or similar.
