What happened OpenSubtitles and Plex Auto Download when movie added?

I found that automatic downloads of subtitles from opensubtitles has broken… although I refresh the metadata of themovie and themovies subititles exists inside the opensubtitles.org, Plex can not get the subtitle.
Since many years settings agents opensubtitles always ticked! usernamepassword always there…
but since some time 2 or 3 monts no any autodownload of movie subtitles. currently event I change my username and password … nothing happens…

in the logs it is always says (even username and passowrds are wrong)

how to solve it ?
I cleared the cache tooo.
and I am not blocked by opensubtitles.org

Yeah. They had changed their url back a while ago. That miffed things up. I had to log in and reset my password and reselect my preferred subtitle language preferences on their site and then Plex started working again with subtitles once I authenticated again.

THANK yOU very much EKACIN ! It is solved !

  1. IN OPENSUBTITLES.ORG, I just changed my password I changed my preffereed languages I changed back again .
  2. IN PLEX, I changed my password to the new one. I restarted Plex service again

and it is solved.

This does NOT fix my problem, which is superficially the same - SRT is not downloading automatically.

Hello
I have the same problem with the new Plex Movie agent, my .SRT files not load automatically, and when I refresh any movie, the subtitles that I have it, was deleted and I have to uploaded manually.

I have the same problem, no subtitles are downloaded automatically. I can even see SubZero in the agent settings and I ticked that but it does nothing. I don’t see Open Subtitles or any other plugin in there.

Hello!

I have the exact same issue. I just reinstalled plex on docker, and set up my agents as they were before.
I realized after refreshing my library’s metadata that no subtitles were downloaded. I tried to download subtitles on a random video file and it worked. But the agent still didn’t download anything.
I stumbled upon this post in my research and I think I have a similar problem. I tried Ozkan134’s solution (even though I never had an opensubtitles.org account before.) I set my favorite languages on their site, changed my password there and in plex etc… It did not work.
I can’t exclude a misconfiguration on my new docker/plex, but with all the time spent, I still haven’t figured out why the agent won’t download anything.
Attached are my agent logs, I can’t see any errors. I can give other logs if they are relevant and needed.

Thanks for any help!

guys in addition to my steps above, can you please also try to remove all kinds of PLEX caches and retry my steps.

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Sadly, after stopping my plex container, removing the files from :

/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Caches

and

/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Cache

restarting my container, and refreshing my metadata on an item, I still don’t have any downloaded file.
I also tried removing/re-adding my opensubtitles account in the agent’s parameters.

The weird thing is that no cache folder is generated for opensubtitles after trying to refresh the metadata. It feels like the opensubtitles agent is not even starting.

Are these new libraries, or have you changed to the new Plex Movie agent? It no longer automatically downloads subtitles.

At first this annoyed me, then I realized I almost always ended up doing a manual search for correct matching subs anyway.

There’s also Bazarr, which is amazing.

No, I configured the plex legacy agent for this specific library.
Still no luck.

I had pretty good results with the subtitles found, 99% of the time they were the right ones. Oh well…

I’ll look into Bazarr, thanks!

For my Tv shows it still downloads automatically. But for my movies it does not. I thought this has something to do with the new Plex movie agent?
