Since updating to this version of the PMS I’m having problems with Plex Player on the Vewd Smart TV platform. I can stream videos through the Chromecase from the usual web player, but on the Plex Opera TV player I can navigate the menus and when I select play ther three dots appear in the middle of the screen and after a minute or two I get a message from the Plex Opera TV player that it’s taking too long to begin playing the media and gives the option to “Go Back”.
This has happened after installing the current PMS beta.
I have tried turning the TV off by pulling the power plug out of the back of the TV as the last error I encounter was the Vewd app becoming unstable.
This seems to indicate where the problem lies.
Caught exception trying to stream file: /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/plex_conf/Plex Media Server/Cache/Transcode/Sessions/plex-transcode-qyjn92601p3oqio2kdvuc8fr-03836558-3fce-4ba0-9298-fb43dd635abe/media-00002.ts: write: Broken pipe
I’ve since got verbose logs of the error from the Opera TV web player and verbose logs from the Normal web player and ChromeCast. The issues does not seem to affect every video file as some other video files will still play on the Opera TV player… I’m going to guess that to the Chromecase the MPT3 audio is streamed directly, but to the Opera TV player the audio is transcoded from MP3 to AAC.
Server log file and Transcoser statistics attached …

EDIT: Gone back to version 1.15.0.659. Don’t know what’s been done, but v1.15.1.707 is unstable. Also confirmed that reverting back to 1.15.0.659 is allowing Plex for Opera TV on the Sony TV (Vewd) the video files that where causing the PMS to throw the exceptions.
