Optimized Versions directory structure - unable to delete

Server Version#: 1.16.3.1402
Player Version#: 4.8.1
QNAP QTS: 4.4.1.1064
Model: TS-231P2

I deleted the Optimized Versions entries I had for a few TV shows that were in my libraries, but noticed that the “Plex Versions” folder and sub-folders weren’t deleted, although the episodes were.

When I try to delete the “Plex Versions” folder and sub-folders, Windows tells me Folder Access Denied. I’ve tried giving my computer full access permissions to the folders and subfolders via the security properties, but it won’t let me.

I’ve tried using QNAP’s File Station to remove the subfolders, and can’t delete them there, nor edit permissions.

In Plex, I’ve tried Empty Trash and Clean Bundles under the server management, and still no dice.

Any ideas? I’m using the Plex qpkg from the QNAP App Center.

It’s strange that you can’t use file station to delete a regular directory when logged in as admin, but then again you have 4.4.1. I don’t know how it behaves yet. Maybe you have to shut down PMS first. Weird.

What I can tell you is that ssh admin@your.IP.addr.ess is the standard way to get terminal access where you can cd to the shared folder and down to where you can rm -rf the Versions directory. Let us know if you need help.
