Server Version#: 1.40.5.8921
Player Version#: 4.133.0
I upgraded my server to new hardware using Intel NUC 12 Pro NUC12WSKv7 Barebone System - Mini PC - Socket BGA-1744 Core i7 12th Gen i7-1270P Dodeca-core (12 Core) as before I was told my cpu wouldn’t support HDR, but I believe this one will support it. Yet when I try to redo an optimize I get invalid metadata still. If I retry it comes back again.
This isn’t a legitimate name.

PMS needs a full FQDN if you’re doing that -OR- you have your local /etc/hosts convert the name to an IP address.
You have database damage.

First choice at trying to fix it.
Download and run this. It will usually clean up the simple errors
would the database errors be why if i try to optimize videos still i’m still running into issue?
Yes,
When PMS has database issues, all kinds of weird things happen / don’t work.
PMS is almost entirely “database driven”
I ran the database fix script and it looks like it address the database issue, at least according to the output. But still having an issue with the optimize video

going through your logs a little finer this time:
Sep 06, 2024 04:06:20.999 [133480073317008] INFO - [CERT/OCSP] Successfully retrieved response from cache.
Sep 06, 2024 04:06:20.999 [133480073317008] ERROR - [CERT] Found a user-provided certificate, but couldn’t install it.
Sep 06, 2024 04:06:20.999 [133480073317008] DEBUG - HttpServer: Listening on IPv6 as well as IPv4.
This means the certificate you provided is either:
- self signed
-or- - does not contain the CA, cert, and key (all 3) . PMS needs to know who generated the cert.
Sep 06, 2024 04:06:21.771 [133480073317008] ERROR - Error creating directory " /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/TRANSTEMP": Permission denied
NOT a good place to put your transcoder temp directory.
Recommend you take that value out and let PMS use the default (?)
- mDNS domains (which don’t have real certs) are going to cause you fits.
You’re better off with a proper DNS server or entries in /etc/hosts.

For the good news
No database errors in your logs
Recommend you get the other errors (Filesystem and Domain) resolved first then we’ll re-examine.
for the cert if I remove the configuration for my own cert that should fix it right?
removed the transcode location.
the mdns i have a dns server on my router, the domain is plex.home.local yet I’m only seeing plex.home come in with that error. the error was about plex before as I would just do plex:32400/web to get into the server now it plex.home.local:32400/web
