Currently we can either choose to play all of the pre-rolls sequentially or one randomly. I would like to see an option to play multiple random pre-rolls and in particular one from each set pre-roll groupings . I have a set of pre-rolls I have created with my own branding and I have a set with Plex branding. Right now they are all in one grouping and play randomly. So the user see’s either my personally branded pre-roll or a Plex branded pre-roll. It would be nice if I could create a group of personally branded pre-rolls and a group of Plex branded pre-rolls and have plex choose one from each group to play randomly.
One way this could be accomplished is to allow a combination of comma and semicolon separated videos. So something like this where a comma separates the two groups.
I just discovered this feature! Love it! Would love to have random pre-roll. Could be as simple as referencing a folder of videos instead of a single file! Please also enable for TV SHOWS
A folder should be used for a random file within it.
Separate a list of folders and you got the feature.

When you edit your videos (clicking the ). You have General, Tags, Sharing, Poster, Background, Info, Advanced, could a Pre Roll option be added to this menu, so you can have a different pre roll for each movie if you wish?
I would like to add the cinema pre rolls / idents to each movie so if I was watching Sceam VI for example I’d use this as a pre roll,
If I’m watching an older movie like turtles, this would play
I’d place them all in a folder on my nas then if the option was available I’d assign the right pre roll to its matching movie. I just love the idea of having the pre roll that existed with that movie in the cinema playing pre film, there are a lot on YouTube taken from the original reels obviously the older ones aren’t as crisp, but I think it’s adds to the experience.
