Organise films into folders the same way as TV shows?

Apologies if this is a much-asked question, but:

TV shows are correctly in folders, and the top level folder shows in Plex. Then, selecting that gives me the individual episodes.

I can’t seem to do the same thing for Films though. Am I missing something horribly obvious?

Many thanks.

Just to expand on that, I’d like Plex to display (for example) ‘Marvel’, and selecting that would give me sub-folders for ‘Captain America’, ‘Avengers’ etc.

You can do that, but you’d have a lot of separate ‘Libraries’. It doesn’t work the way you and thousands of others (for years) want it to. Plex makes no special provision for Boxed Sets and such.

I have a lot of Libraries (25+ and counting) and use The Sort Title Field to put sets and sequels in chronological order. That’s about the best we can do at this point:

Ok, thanks for that. I was afraid I was missing something but apparently not

Well…

You are ‘missing something’ I suppose. You’re missing the feature that handles Boxed Sets and Sequels the way you want, but the Work-Around does work and it’s the only one we have unless you consider ‘Collections’ to be a viable alternative, but many find Collections cumbersome to create, use and later delete when you discover how badly they suck.
