Hello, if I’m just missing this on the forums, please point me in the right direction. I recently switched to a new machine for my Plex server. It works well with movies and music. My problem is with live OTA TV via antenna connected to an old HDHomeRun. It works quite well if I watch it via an iOS client (iOS 13, old iPad Air 2), but I cannot get it to play on my TVs (Samsung smart TV, Vizio smart TV, Roku Ultra) nor a web browser. On my old server, it wasn’t powerful enough to handle live TV (it did better if I buffered for 20-30 seconds), but the experience was the same whether I was watching on a TV, phone, etc. I’m stumped as to why the new server can’t handle it.
Related to this, if I record live TV, I can watch it later on iOS like described above, but I cannot watch it on any of my TVs or via web browser.
For what it’s worth, the old server was a 2013 iMac (8GB RAM). Would that iMac be able to do some transcoding my Ubuntu machine can’t do that makes the live TV content more usable on more clients?
New server
Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS - haven’t determine when to upgrade.
Intel Core i5-7400 @ 3.00GHz
16 GB DDR4 RAM
Currently connected via wifi, though I plan to hardwire it later on when I can get a connection set up.
