I am considering buying a Shield TV to replace my Amazon FireTV sticks. I am currently using an HDHomeRun Flex as a tuner. I want the timeshifting to work and show thumbnails as you rewind or FF.

You will get thumbnails as you FF or RW when the content has recorded and you’re watching it back afterwards. Not during the live broadcast.
