I switched to an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max from a roku stick+. On the roku, when I would skip forward/back I would get thumbnails showing during the skip but in the fire stick it just jumps by “## seconds” and no thumbnail previews.
Is there anyway to enable thumbnails on the fire stick?
(I went back to the roku and confirmed thumbnails still work so don’t think it’s an issue with my Plex server)
No it’s not an issue with your server.
I thought the Fire TV/Nvidia Shield didn’t support this feature because it never worked for me. (probably 2 years or more)
Apparently, it used to work but now doesn’t, and people in the other threads below are saying it’s a confirmed bug
ugghh … thanks for letting me know … I think the firestick is more responsive and generally works a little better than my roku but will be tough to live without the thumbnail previews …
