OTG Storage Support for Plex on Android

Would it be possible to add support for OTG external storage in the Android Plex app for synced content?

I installed a nexus 7 Tablet in my car and it works amazing. I would like to use the Plex app to play all my music synced from my Plex server on the tablet without using up extra data. Only problem I have is my tablet only has so much storage. I have a USB hub hooked up to the tablet with a 128GB USB drive using an OTG cable. The tablet detects the USB drive fine and I can save and transfer stuff to it but Plex has no way of using the USB drive to store songs on it.

Right now I’m streaming all my music with Plex, Amazon Music, and You Tube because I don’t want to fill up my limited space with a bunch of songs.

It would be amazing if this was added!

Completely agree! I have a new Pixel Slate - perfect for watching movies, but not enough storage. I bought a OTG storage flash stick, but plex won’t let me select it as a destination for syncing content. Please enable it, now I can save 2-3 movies before running out of space. With OTG support, I could save 30 or so.
