Hi all,
i recently received a portable projector as a gift (the very nice JmGO View), which has only 8gb of onboard memory, but does support USB devices.
It’s Android based, so Plex is running fine on it.
Since it’s portable, there will be a time where i will carry it around, without the internet.
Of course i could use Plex Sync to get my content onto it, but it has only 8gb of space, which is a bit tight.
I was wondering how i could use Plex in such a use case, and got 2 ideas:
- mount a USB stick on the projector, and have Plex sync offline content to the stick instead of the onboard memory (something like app2sd kind of way)
- have Plex server sync to a folder on disk, or a particular USB mass-storage device (in this case what i am interested in is the transcoding part), which i could then read using any media player, or even best using Plex
What do you think guys ? is there anything workable with the current state of Plex ?
Or anything planned that could help me on this ?
Thanks !
