I have a few “other media” libraries. In these libraries, there are certain places where video thumbnails will display in the landscape (expected) orientation. In other cases, these same files are presented with portrait thumbnails.
There’s no way to make a thumbnail look good in both places — media from these libraries should instead be presented consistently across the platform.
Landscape views:
- Media within server-generated collections, e.g. “recently added”
- Home and Recommended views of server-generated collections
- Library
Portrait views:
- Media within user-generated collections
- Home and Recommended views of user-generated collections
- Related content on media detail page, e.g. “more with ___”
*Note that this issue is also occurring within collections of episodes — episodes are displayed in portrait orientation here, but landscape everywhere else.
