Overscan - is there more to it than config.txt?

When I first power up RasPlex the image seems to be just a little bit too big for the screen. Normally I'd fix this by changing the overscan values in config.txt, however this seems to have made no difference: Whatever values (even really big values) do not seem to have an effect.

I read that OpenElec may have an alternative way of adjusting the screen borders - What is the correct procedure for dealing with over or underscan?

Thanks

Config.txt seems to be the permanent way of doing this.

We may add it as an option to the installer... not sure yet.

You could always calibrate your video output in the rasplex GUI. If memory serves me right, it's in Preferences -> System -> Video output -> Calibrate video. I always have to do that with my old TV
