As the title states, I paid for a Plex Lifetime Pass and when I checked my Playlists, every movie is missing - TV Shows are still there. I had a Playlist for Marvel that had every Movie, Short and TV Show, which took me hours to sort, this playlist now shows no movies!
Having signed up for a Plex Pass would not impact this. Something else must have changed. Can you verify that the videos are still in your library and work and that it’s only the playlist that is missing the items? Is it only this 1 playlist? Were any other playlists affected?
Maybe it was a coincidence - several playlists are missing movies that exist in the library. Some playlists are not missing movies.
Do these movies still exist in your library? Did you move them to another library or anything like that? This can break the playlist and if the item can’t be found where it is expected, they will get removed from the playlist.
They’re in the library, I haven’t changed anything.
I’m not sure. Do you happen to have a backup of your database from before you signed up for the Plex Pass? You can try restoring that file which should restore your playlists.
If that works, can you zip up the current and the prior databases and send them to me so I can compare them to see if the playlist info actually got erased from the database.
Do these playlists have a little ‘cog wheel’ icon on their posters?

If they do, they are ‘smart playlists’, which update themselves - depending on the filter parameters which where used to create them.
If you for instance filtered your library for ‘Show all movies which where added 2 weeks before’
then the resulting smart playlist will still execute this filter. - Which might not produce any hits anymore.
If I restore the backup, I’ll lose ALL of my collections though?

Depends if your backup has the collection info already.

I’m not prepared to risk it! I created my Collections prior to seeing the Playlist issue!
If you want to send me your database files, I can take a look.
