Does anyone know how to speed up the scanning or why it’s so painfully slow?
It’s been scanning 24 hours and only roughly 50 shows have been added. I have 1k more to go and at this rate it’s going to take weeks to scan in.
Still have movies to add to that as well.
You are going to need to tell us more about your setup for us to be able to help.
What version of PMS are you running?
What platform/hardware is it running on?
Where is your media stored? …local, DAS, NAS?
At a guess have you enabled video previews and or Intro markers when adding media? These features take time to execute. Video Previews also need a lot more storage space.
Also I hope your adding these files as per the following support articles. Are the shows matching?
I have followed the guides yes and neither are on.
Intros and view previews have been switched off from the beginning.
Cannot believe how slow Plex to be fair for scanning in.
Only difference is I have tvdb as the agent not the beta (I use tvdvb) because I use sonarr which I know uses the renaming etc as the tvdb
