Parkersburg, WV new CW channel has no electronic program guide data

My local market just launched a new CW plus channel 22.2 in Parkersburg, WV and there is no program guide data showing up for it. I am new to plex pass. When should the guide data show up so I can make DVR recording on that channel?

One of the local cable companies in the area, CAS Cable, has the guide information available. So I have deleted my tuner and set it up again as a cable provider instead of Antenna. Then manually mapped as many of my antenna channels as I can including, the Parkersburg CW channel to its CAS cable number to get the guide data. But then I loose several of my antenna channels because that cable company does not rebroadcast them.

So I can either set my tuner/dvr up as an antenna and not be able to use the dvr for the CW channel 22.2 or setup the tuner as CAS cable and loose a few of my other broadcast channel.

Neither solution is desirable. Is there a better solution out there?

I’m having the exact same issue, also for 22.2 “CW+” in Parkersburg, WV. It seems that there is no way to select a CW+ station to assign to 22.2 since it’s not listed from WOVA-CW+ and there is no other CW+ station listed near our zip code.

Is there a way to manually edit a database table or XML file to assign another CW+ station manually to 22.2? Or, will there be a future update to allow a manual assignment? Thanks!

This is a work around that I found for 22.2 CW plus meta data. You can map the tuner as cable instead of antenna and use the CAS Cable guide. It has the guide data for the Parjersburg CW Plus channel. CAS has the most antenna channels in their line up to map to. However, if you do that there are other channels you will loose because they are not on CAS.

I have a question for you. In your screenshot is saw you had WVQW 30.1 from Charleston. Are you able to get it regularly? Every once in a great while I can get it in the middle of the night but that is it. If you get it normally what antenna and setup are you using? Also can you get ION out of Sissonville?

I am currently using a Clear Stream 4max on my roof with a pre-amp and booster. I get the following Channels

8.1 WCHS (ABC)
8.2 Antenna TV
8.3 Charge
8.4 TDB
I loose all the channel 8 stations between 10am and noon or so during week days.

11.1 WVAH (FOX)
11.2 Stadium
11.3 Comet

15.1 WTAP (NBC)
15.2 CBS (standard def)
15.3 FOX (standard def)
15.4 Pin Point Weather

22.1 WOVA (FOX)
22.2 WOVA (CW+)

33.1 PBS
33.2 PBS Kids
33.3 PBS World
47.1 WIYE (CBS)
47.2 METV

Thanks. I’ll give the CAS guide a try.

Yes, I can get 30.1 reliably but I’m using more of a directional antenna with a rotor. I also have trouble with the channel 8’s though. The rest of the list looks pretty consistent except I can also get all of the 20.1-20.6 PBS stations. I have a DB8 and preamp from Antennas Direct that’s roof mounted with a rotor. Your antenna doesn’t look to have a reflector so you can probably pull in stations from the front and back, though with a little less gain than mine. It’s nice that yours also has a VHF antenna. Having a (multi) directional antenna and rotor means that I need to use a remote to tell the rotor which station I want to tune in. It’s usually one of about three general directions, though. I’d love to figure out a way to trigger an IR transmitter from Plex when tuning a station so it could auto rotate the antenna… maybe some day.
