It would be nice if PLEX would pause the current content playing when a call comes in on a device that is connected to it as a remote/cast.

sound like a good idea but what if there are others with you who don't want to stop because you got a phone call

Hopefully nobody here would take a phone call during a movie with others unless it was really important…that would be quite rude.


Yes, if I needed to answer a call on my phone, while watching a movie from my server, something tells me my friends would understand needing to pause. Right now I have no way to pause and take a call at the same time :frowning: Great idea OP…P.S. this has been requested before.

I didn't see it posted. And I'm thinking more in the aspect of watching TV Shows in my case.

Also if it was a toggle setting it would make everyone happy.


Maybe in the cast interface there could be a current sesion only toggle if you are either expecting a call and have it set to keep playing by default or if you are watching with friends and want to disable auto pause.

Yes and no. The two previous requests have been specific to Casting from the phone, not using it as a remote (although it was mentioned further down in one of the threads).
