Before I make a request for a feature that already exists I just want to make sure I"m not missing something.
Right now if I’m watching a video on my phone (TV, Movie, doesn’t matter) and I get a phone call, the video continues to play. It’s very annoying trying to fumble with my phone to pause the video so I can actually hear the person who called me. I’ve looked all over the settings on the Android app but see nothing. Am I missing something here or does this functionality not currently exist on the Android app?
Well I just tried it, and the film I was watching paused when I clicked on the answer call button.
I haven’t setup or configured anything special to do it either
Plex for Android version 5.7.1.255
Android version: 6.0.1
Interesting… DO you have your plex setup to use an external player? I do not and I’m not sure if that’d make a difference. All of the other players on my phone do pause appropriately, but I like the way the plex player looks and feels so I’d prefer to keep using that.
To start to provide additional details:
I have a Galaxy S6, it’s been factory formatted a few times (I do so once every 6 months or so) and the app has been reinstalled a few times between formats and it’s never paused when receiving a call. I don’t have any previous phones to compare with and won’t be getting a new one for a few months yet.
Android Version 6.0.1
Plex for Android V5.7.0.173
I noticed that my version and yours are not the same, but I don’t see an update in the play store - I’m guessing I’m a victim of the staged rollout there or something as I usually see them 4ish days after the update gets released.
I wouldn’t think this to be a new feature, but I have asked the question to the DEV team and I’m waiting for a response
hthingway, did you hear anything back from the dev team?
