If I pause a video I’m watching in Plex Web Version 4.57.4 and PMS Version 1.23.4.4775, when I resume it will only play up to the amount of video already loaded and buffered.
It then stalls and I have to reload the webpage.
Tested on multiple browsers and PCs with the same result.
Been happening for a few versions of PMS and Plex Web.
Any ideas? It’s like it won’t start streaming the file again after pause
A problem similar to yours has been reported before but with Android devices. In that case users were pausing the video and then closing Plex abruptly, like shutting down their tv which was causing plex to not save the playback state
This is different. I just pause it. No closing windows, no screen savers or power management kicking in. If I leave it paused for just a few minutes it won’t resume. Sometimes I actually have to reload Plex as sometimes just closing the video and reloading it doesn’t always get it working again. Sometimes I have to actually completely refresh the browser
