Server Version#: 1.19.1.2645
A bit of background:
Current Set Up - Files on Synology NAS - Server Running off Windows PC - Nest Mesh WiFi Set up.
I’ve been running this set up (less the mesh) for the better part of 2 years. Everything is streamed within the local network from the Server to AppleTVs 4K via Infuse.
Yesterday I started getting an error message on the client saying Bandwidth Limit Exceeded. Through some investigative trial and error it appears that the devices were connecting as a remote connection instead of local. This actually makes total sense now because when viewing the network usage while streaming on google wifi app, I would see the upstream from the Server and the Downstream from the Apple TV.
Here is where things get kind of wonky, I set up a 2nd Plex Server on my NAS to see if I could connect. On each server (NAS and PC) I turned off remote connections.
First using my Mac Laptop - with a wired and wireless connection on the same network, I was able to connect to both without any issues.
On the Apple TV, when trying link, it shows both servers, but it should the Windows PC server as remote, even though it’s on the same network. It connects the server on the NAS just fine.
On my iPhone it connects to the NAS Server and shows the Windows Server as offline.
