Mac Plex Server shows offline from iOS devices and Apple TV

My iOS and Apple TV apps will not connect to my local Plex Server running on my Mac. I continually get an error the error “Offline” next to the server name on both my iPhone and iPad. The Apple TV app, just loaded today, will not connect either. All devices are authorized on the server. I’ve tried deleting them and reauthorizing, signing out, stopping the server and restarting multiple times. I’ve even turned off VPN on the devices. Nothing seems to work.

I’ve looked through the Plex Help and the forums and tried everything I could find to correct the problem but without any effect.

Maybe it’s something simple I haven’t found yet.

So I was just able to resolve the problem. The Plex Server was being blocked by the firewall. Once unblocked everything seems to be working.
