Personal Movies + XML Files with Commercials

So I have some movies that I recorded in other DVRs (mostly Channels). I ran the files through MCEBuddy to mark the commercials in a separate XML file. Is there anyway to force Plex to read that XML file when I add the movies to my Plex library? Thus far no luck in getting Plex to recognize the commercials and skip them.

Is there any alternative to this system I have (Channels DVR - MCEBuddy - Plex Library) that could either get Plex to skip commercials in the files or get a different application to delete the commercials before I add them to Plex?

With a Plex Pass, Plex will do that job by itself… I’m not aware of any 3rd party options that Plex will read/integrate for commercial skipping.
So if you go the non-Plex route your best shot will probably be a solution that actually cuts the ads straight from the videos

Appreciate it! I actually realized right after I posted this that something was off in my MCEBuddy settings where it wasn’t deleting them but now it is

I do hope to return to Plex Pass one day but right now Channels DVR works better for me sadly (even though I prefer Plex’s app UI, systems, etc). So I’m using Channels for the DVR recording and Plex for the viewing lol.
