Personalize Plex Live Channels List

Channel number/Name:

I see several references online (including, e.g.,

instructions to personalize the Plex Live Channels List, which I would like to do, as there are a number of channels that I have no interest in serving only to expand the guide.

But the instructions all start with going to the guide and scrolling up to reveal a three dot menu, but I don’t get that menu on the Windows app nor the IPadOS app nor the web browser interface.

So, two questions:

  1. Is the customization done at the server level, applicable to all clients, or at the client level?

  2. Either way, how do I accomplish the personalization with versions of the app and server that I have?

Your link above is severely outdated.

First step for customization is to tag all those channels as “Favorite”, which you want to appear in your customized channel list.
If you move your mouse pointer over the channel logo, you will see the outline of a heart icon appear. Click on it to make this channel a favorite.
Once you have done that for the first channel, you will get an additional column, named Favorites. It is there, where you can later re-arrange the order of channels.

It is best to use the hosted web app for this.
Make sure that your web browser does not interfere with the web app – i.e. disable any browser add-ins if need be.
