PGS subtitle plays when SRT is selected

I have PGS subs in the MKV container and External SRTs;

Burn Subtitles set to Only Image Formats

  • When I play the episode set to External SRTs, the player shows the PGS subs instead (direct play, no burn-in)
  • But when I directly select the PGS sub, it forces burn-in.

Burn Subtitles is set to Automatic

  • Selecting External SRTs will play it properly, instead of the above issue displaying the PGS.

Seeing that the player can actually direct play PGS, shouldn’t we be able to select it directly without triggering burn in?

Android app version 8.19.3.26473 and I’m still getting this.
