Hello I am using the latest Windows Server Plex Media Server 1.42.2.10156-f737b826c and the latest WebOS version of the client Plex for LG 5.93.2 which is Platform Version 9.2.4
When I stream a program the PGS subtitles show correctly with correct colours and placement, but if I pause the show or seek forwards/backwards the subtitles are lost and do not re-appear. Turning them off and on again does not work. I have to exit the program and begin from start. If I try to resume playback, they also do not appear.
The Video and Audio both say they are “Direct Play” in the server and the PGS Subtitles say they are “Direct Stream” in the server.
I can OCR them to a text based format but this is not ideal, the content I am watching has lots of positional subtitles, and this is lost when OCR’ing. It would take a lot of work and essentially spoil the show to go in and add positional placement for every subtitle line to get them into a usable text based format.
So is there anyway to get PGS to display correctly? or should I just abandon Plex and setup a HTPC instead?
You might look for a player setting that adjusts Burn Subtitles and try various options.
Anyone know why the user gets these access denied errors? I thought PMS would set the perms correctly.

Maybe those are non-issues. I think the devs would want you to enable debug logging on PMS though, then restart PMS, demonstrate the problem, and capture the server and player logs that changed after the restart.
