Philips Hue Integration

A server plugin to act like boblight read the movie and change color of hue light would be perfect.

I discovered this app yesterday, as my PHT is a mac mini I'll try it this week end : http://www.everyhue.com/vanilla/discussion/706/osx-app-to-sync-philips-hue-to-computer-monitor/p1

And? Did it work?

Would love to see a dimming feature for the start of a movie!

@Critik:

If you want your vote to count, then posting a +1 post doesn't cover it

You'll need to go to the first post in this thread, and press the like button

As stated in the pinned post, that folks are supposed to read before posting.

But when that's said, no....I'm not targeting you....I merely don't want you to waste your time nor vote, and rest assured, that you sadly are not the only one doing +1 posts

Best Regards

Tommy

I run some LiFx lights... would love this support to include both the major smart lights...

If plex starts playing turn off the lights:

Did anyone manage to get this Processing Script running?

I got the IP of my Bridge and the Access Token. Now i am running the Processing App with the Ambihue.pde Code inside. What do i have to do with the bashfile exactly? I filled in the IP and the token.. but nothing happens.. Where do i have to place the bash and what else do i need to do in order for this to work?

Thank you!

Exciting potential!

Philips posted some news today: http://www.newsroom.lighting.philips.com/news/2017/20170831-philips-hue-marks-5th-birthday-with-new-products-and-entertainment-capability

Philips Hue Entertainment - immersive ‘surround sound’ for the eyes

Philips Lighting announced today plans for Philips Hue Entertainment, a software update that takes home entertainment to a new level by synchronizing Philips Hue lights with movies, gaming and music content (including streamed content), provided in close collaboration with the entertainment industry. The new feature follows successful entertainment pilots with The Voice, Syfy and Live Nation. Philips Hue customers will have access to it in December through a free over-the-air update for all existing Philips Hue V2 bridges and all Philips Hue color-capable lights.

“Philips Hue Entertainment will be fast, synchronous and easy to set up. We want Philips Hue to be a natural ingredient of any gaming, movie or audio experience – delivering a new level of spatial immersion, complementing action on the screen. We like to think of it as surround sound for the eyes,” explains Chris Worp, Business Group Leader Home at Philips Lighting. “We are committed to developing Philips Hue Entertainment along with our partners and leading brands and invite players in the entertainment industry to join us. In October, we will open up an early access program which will allow partners to use our platform capabilities and entertainment developer kit to advance further this functionality ahead of our December launch. Together we will create a new generation of immersive entertainment experiences.”

I would love to see this in Plex!

Hey

I want it too !!

Does look awesome - especially with the room setup tool app.

Ambilight without the Phillips TV

Wow! I hope it will be interested in Plex soon!

Philip have been very quite on the hue entertainment since IFA. I’d be interested to see what it’s like as this could be brilliant with Plex.

+1, get it done
