Photo Library Has No Thumbnails After Changing Locations

I recently migrated from one NAS to another. I followed the process below, but all photos in the library have a black box for the thumbnail.

  1. Copied files to new NAS.
  2. Added path (as a second path) to photo library.
  3. Plex automatically kicked off a library scan/update.
  4. Ran analyze.
  5. Still wasn’t getting the effect I was expecting, so I removed the old path. Pictures were now showing the red trash can.
  6. Restarted Plex. (ya, shouldn’t have done this in retrospect)
  7. Still wasn’t working. Unfortunately, I didn’t disable the auto-empty trash option. So, that happened.
  8. Re-added old path to library. Plex completed library scan/update.
  9. Realized Plex didn’t have permissions to the new path. Fixed permission issue.
  10. Rescanned library. Now I showed 2x the picture count. Still no thumbnails.
  11. Removed old path. Rescanned library. Now I show the correct number of photos.
  12. Tested viewing the photos. That worked.
  13. Tried running the following:
  14. “Plex Media Scanner.exe” --list (to get the section #)
  15. “Plex Media Scanner.exe” --force --analyze --section 3 (took a while)
  16. “Plex Media Scanner.exe” --force --generate --section 3 (returned almost immediately)
  17. “Plex Media Scanner.exe” --force --analyze-deeply --section 3 (returned almost immediately)
  18. Let Plex sit for a couple hours.
  19. Restarted Plex.

Still no thumbnails. :frowning:

Also just tried Edit > Advanced, Delete Preview Thumbnails. This kicked off a rescan. Then I did an Analyze. Still no thumbnails.

Weird: Thumbnails are shown on the Home screen under Recently Added Photos, but all black boxes in the library itself. I can “play” the photos and see them all, though.
