I am baffled that Photos albums has been added to the Photo library and I haven’t read about anywhere. Could someone point me to a Release announcement on this? I have looked trough the Plex Web announcements, and haven’t been able to find any info on it. The Photos & Personal Videos section is also kinda empty regarding this, so are the support pages. I could be blind …

Playlist is missing a “Photos” filter.
Is there any way to exclude Photo albums from the “Playlists” page? Guess it is because it is based on the Playlist function …
True, but you have to know that this feature exist and it has been added to the product. I’m looking for an announcement or release note. My point is, that this is a great feature … but it has gone under the “radar”. Since it hasn’t been announcement anywhere … as far i can see.
I’ll add an issue to track that internally. It would be a good one to have.

Thanks for the feedback. The honest answer as to why we’ve not made a splash about this yet is that we’re not finished improving this experience in web, or other clients, yet

So this is why my photo playlist disappeared. Removing Photo albums/playlists from the Playlists page, without making it a user option, is a bad idea. I’ve been using a photo playlist for a while, and I was surprised to see it disappear from the Playlists page.
Why are Photo playlists treated differently than others? Add an “Album” view to Photo libraries, fine, but allow us to keep them on the Playlists page where they’ve always been.
@DomC, I would really like to know why Photo Playlists being shown on the Playlists page was considered a bug. I liked that, and I wish you would put it back.

Still wanting to know what the reasoning was behind moving photo playlists out of the Playlists page. This is a degradation of usability in my opinion.
