Photo "Albums" In Playlist Section?

Server Version#: Version 3.73.1
Player Version#: All

Been away for a while but going back into Playlists section, I am now seeing music playlists mixed in with photo albums? Is this intentional behavior now (god, why?)? How do I separate photos and music back out again, because this is highly undesirable.

Which client?

Technically, Photoalbums are playlists of photos. (Just as an explanation)

I see them specifically on desktop client at the moment, all major browsers.

Pretty confident this was not always the case. Why would Plex think music and photo playlists jumbled together would be a good user experience?

I cannot reproduce here with the web app.

Which is your server version?

Plex Media Server 1.13.8.5395-10d48da0d

I am pretty sure this is already fixed in newer server versions.

If you want to make extra-sure, check your server database for corruption:

  1. activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
  2. quit Plex Server
  3. wait 1 minute
  4. start Plex Server
  5. wait 5 minutes
  6. fetch log files and attach them here

Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.

Having the same issue, after selecting photos and selecting the Add to Album icon instead of the list of available albums a dialog box to create a new playlist is displayed. Same issue when selecting Add to Album in the fly out menu on individual photos.

Which Plex app are you using?
Please try with the latest public web app https://app.plex.tv/desktop
Which web browser type?

Plex Web Client: Version 3.77.1
Plex Server: Version 1.14.0.5468 (Says Up to date)

Chrome Version: 70.0.3538.110 (64 bit)

Microsoft Edge Version: 42.17134.1.0

Microsoft EdgeHTML: Version 17.17134

I cannot recreate the issue.

I suspect interference from anti virus software or bowser add-ons.
Which web browser add-ons do you have installed and active while browsing the address plex.tv?

I don’t have any extensions (browser add-ons) that are the same in Chrome or Edge (same for IE 11, did not include in the original email since it will not be supported soon.)
No changes in the anti-virus software that would change how code or script behaves in a browser.
