Plex photos will not properly display Photo thumbnails anymore since adding a new photos library. This applies to all player versions and platforms. And when Plex does show thumbnails they are often the wrong ones and repeated.
I have tried refreshing the library and scanning them again but has not helped.
plex dance a dozen of those problem photos. Are you familiar with that procedure?
Do they still exhibit the problem after you dance them?
If that didn’t fix the metadata associated with each photo, enable server debug logging, reboot it, and download the logs after a few minutes. Zip and upload Plex Media Server.log into your reply so that folks can check it for obvious issues.
If possible describe the exact steps to reproduce this on a test PMS system with random photos from the Internet (or upload a few).
Do you have a two Plex Media Servers, one on Windows and one on a Mac as indicated by your tags? Do they share the same media but keep separate databases?
I see “Database is locked” errors but not corruptions errors.
The forum suggestions are along the lines of either optimize the database or repair the database.
Thumbnail generation is one of those scheduled tasks when it comes to a film.
You can manually cause it to happen, but we should work on your database first.
Be sure to make copies before you modify any files like the articles says.
I’m sorry I misunderstood your use of “timeline view” which I thought referred to the thumbnails displayed showing a person’s progress while now playing. Until you said that I thought we were only into photos, yes.
About 90% of photo thumbnails seem to be working now in Plex. All the photos are there when you click on the photo just the thumbnail is blank for some reason.
You have to reanalyze each album individually. The overall analyze library button doesn’t work.
However The timeline feature still doesn’t work but the albums do, I have no idea how to fix the timeline.
