Hi all - is someone able to help me diagnose these logs to see why loading photos takes such a long time? from Feb 3rd approx 22:00 onwards

There are a number of these warnings in your logs.
This may indicate that your database needs to be optimised. Go to Plex Settings > Troubleshoot > Optimise Database if it exists in such an old version of Plex.
Unfortunately, hardware acceleration was never enabled for the DS214play or DS415play, so you must rely on the CPU alone for transcoding.
Your NAS is old and not very powerful and transcoding photos can take time to complete, especially if you have a lot of photos that need transcoding at the same time.
I would advise you to install PMS on your PC and use your NAS for file storage only. Your PC should be able handle the tasks much more easily than your NAS.
