With iOS 14 supporting picture in picture, I would love to see Plex support this. Being able to have a movie or a TV show in the background while doing other tasks would be great.
Good news! This has worked on iPadOS for a while, and is also possible in iOS 14.

This is already implemented, I use PiP on iPhone (iPad is already working since years).
Is there something special we need to turn on? My PIP works for Netflix on my phone but not Plex.
Yes. Enable Use old video player in Settings -> Advanced.
